Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Uganda

You will be picked from Entebbe Airport by a guide driver. You will then be brought to your booked hotel of choice in Kampala. If you arrive on time, we will take you around Kampala for city tours. Overnight in Kampala (BB)

Day 2: Mabira Forest

After breakfast, you will leave Kampala and drive to Mabira forest- Uganda's most important ecosystem forest. That boasts of 312 species of trees including the endangered Cordia Millenii, Mililia Exclesa, 315 species of Birds such as the Nahan's Francolin, Cassin Hawk Eagle, 218 Butterfly Species and 3 primate species including the gray-cheeked mangabey.


You will enjoy mountain biking birding, primate watching and nature/forest walks that lead to a beautiful Griffin Falls, deep inside the jungle. Experienced forest guides will take you to see trees that devour other trees-deadly trees, known as stranglers that develop around the trunks of their victims and suck life out of them. Over time, they swallow the victim and inherit its size and shape. Other unique features to be explored in the Forest Reserve include 218 Butterfly Species, 97 Moth Species, 23 Small Mammal Species especially Primate Species of the Monkey Clan and the spectacular Griffin Falls! Day 3: Source of the Nile

After breakfast, your driver will guide you through Jinja town and take you to the source of River Nile (world's longest river). This is where adventure tourism comes to life. You will enjoy white water rafting, bungee jumping, kayaking, sport fishing and a range of land-based activities including mountain biking, horseback riding, quad biking and birding. Day 5: Sipi Falls

After breakfast, you will be driven through the eastern part of Uganda to isolated and spectacular Sipi Falls, flowing from 1800m above sea level. After iconic moments at Sipi falls and cave, you will be checked in at comfortable cottage near one of the waterfalls, have lunch in their restaurant known for its excellent cuisine. In the evening, you will take guided village walking trails in lush green hills. Overnight at Sipi River Lodge (FB)

Day 6: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park

After breakfast, embark on an amazing journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Don't miss spectacular views of Lake Kyoga and tributaries of the Nile River. Stop at a local restaurant by the side for lunch. A first drive in the park chances you for game views until you reach Paraa Safari Lodge located in the heart of the park! This lodge offers a unique blend of comfort, relaxation and adventure. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (BBD)

Day 7: Murchison Falls National Park

Rise up for an early breakfast and start on your game-drive while the animals are the most active.
Driving through the park brings you a close encounter with the African animal kingdom: giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions, different species of antelope and many tropical birds.

In the afternoon, take a boat safari up the Nile River to Murchison Falls-the wild's most powerful waterfall. While on the boat, you will watch crocodiles, hundreds of hippos, buffaloes, water birds, monkeys. The famous top-of-falls gives you a perfect view of the wildest falls. Overnight at Paraa Safari Lodge (FB)

Day 8: Drive to Kibale Forest National Park

After an early breakfast, pick up your packed lunch, cross the Nile River by ferry and exit the park. Drive through incredibly landscapes, villages, lush green forests and hills. You will stop over in Fort Portal for refreshment before taking a rough road that leads to Kibale Forest-the Primate capital of the world. Overnight at Primate Lodge (FB)

Day 9: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest N.P

Rise up early to get into the forest for a primate affair! Kibale forest deservingly regarded as the primate capital of the world with 13 primate species; including the illusive chimpanzees. An experienced forest ranger will take you chimp tracking. Once you locate them, you will have a full hour of eye-to-eye contact with the chimpanzees. Since they are still wild animals, we can never guarantee you to see them and might have to settle with hearing their blares and yells. Besides the chimps, you also see other monkey species that live in this tropical forest. After the primate encounter, return to your lodge for refreshment, lunch will be served to you by ever-smiling lodge staff.

In the afternoon, take a swamp walk (2-3 hours) that leads you through beautiful sceneries and small communities where the locals will greet you with passionate waves. You might spot different primate species during this walk, though the highlight is catching a glimpse of the Great Blue Turaco! Return to the lodge for an evening filled with great performance from one of the local group that visits Primate Lodge.

Day 10: Crater Lake and Village walks

After breakfast at Primate Lodge, you will be driven to a nearby Crater Lake. Enjoy the wonderful views on a Crater Lake hike. You will be taken to Kyaninga Lodge that is set against a stunning backdrop of Lake Kyaninga and the legendary Mountains of the Moon. Adore the full grace and beauty from your room, go swimming or choose visit Fort Portal town with its botanical garden and local market. Overnight at
Kyaninga Lodge (FB).

Day 11: Drive to Queen Elizabeth NP

After breakfast you will continue your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth is located at the base of the majestic Rwenzori Mountain range, adjacent to Lake Edward and Lake George. The park has prolific game, including gazelle, Uganda kob, warthog and waterbuck. Lions are often sighted both in and at the entrance to the park.

You stay overnight at the beautiful Mweya Safari Lodge, located in the heart of Queen Elizabeth National Park on the Mweya peninsula. Watch wildlife from your private verandah and fall asleep to the roaring of lions on the distant savannah. (FB)

Day 12: Game drive & Boat Cruise

Wake up early before sunrise, you will be served a great breakfast in the lounge before you head out for a long game drive in time to see the first rays of light. You will search for all the wildlife in the park and are likely to come across elephants, buffalos, lions, waterbucks, leopards, Uganda kob, and many warthogs. A well-deserved lunch will be served back at the lodge upon your return. Queen Elizabeth National Park has variety of habitats; with almost 100 types of mammals, many different types of reptiles and more than 600 bird species.

After lunch, you will take a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel which joins Lake George and Lake Albert. Here, you will see a lot of hippos, crocodiles, a variety of other animals which come to the water to drink or bathe like buffalos, elephants, and a range of beautiful birds. This is undoubtedly one of the highlights of your tour. Overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge (FB)

Day 13: Ishasha - Tree climbing lions

After breakfast, drive to the southern part of Queen Elizabeth N.P– to Ishasha that is famous for its tree-climbing lions. On a lucky day, you will watch lions hunt and see how they escape from the heat during the day by to climbing the fig trees.

In the afternoon visit Kikorongo women's group for cultural performance and take quick baskets weaving lessons using natural fibers – it´s not as easy as the teachers make it look! You will also learn how to make colorful paper beads from magazines, which you will be able to make into a unique necklace. And of course, if your own craft skills are not up to scratch, beautiful items made by members of the women´s group, such as baskets, bowls, purses and woven belts are available for purchase. Day 14: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

After breakfast, have a game drive on your way out of the park for a last chance at spotting those tree climbing lions. Drive through caved hills of Kigezi to Bwindi, the home of mountain gorillas. Lunch will be provided at the lodge in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest: home of the Mountain Gorillas. Lunch will be served at you host lodge-Buhoma Gorilla Lodge. (FB)

Day 15: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Forest

This is a big day; you will have a rare encounter with gentle giant mountain gorilla. This is no doubt the absolute highlight of a tour to Uganda for most visitors. It is a humbling experience to stand metres from man's distant cousins as they eat, rest, play and bond with their young ones. After a briefing by park authorities, you will embark on a forest trek lasting from a few hours up to a full day, depending on the location of the gorillas as they range spontaneously in the thick forest. There are 10 habituated gorilla families and you will be privileged to encounter and spend time with one of the families that can be visited by a group of eight people per day! You will enjoy an exciting journey along forested slopes, bushes and bamboo before you ultimately reach the gorilla family. Coming face-to-face with a mountain gorilla is a truly awesome and emotional experience.

Day 16: Drive to Lake Bunyonyi

Drive through a crisscrossed tarmac road that is re-directed by rocky hills, slope to Lake Bunyonyi, a scenic Crater Lake located in the highlands of South Western Uganda with so many bird species. The word "Bunyonyi", in the local language means, 'the place of very many little birds'. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest Lake in Africa, after Lake Tanganyika. The Lake surrounded with 20 small Islands encircled by steep terraced hills. The Lake is Bilharzia-free and has no crocodiles and Hippos; making it very safe to swim. You will enjoy the scenery and relax and have amazing birding experience on a boat ride.

Day 17: Drive to Lake Mburo

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Lake Mburo National Park through decorated hills with cultivated stripes and ridges of Kabale. You will be welcomed by Lake Mburo National that sits on the roadsides of Kampala-Kabale highway. The park is a home to zebra, eland and impala, as well as an abundance of other wildlife, enjoy sunset on boat cruise. Overnight at Mihingo Lodge that has impressive ambiance (FB).

Day 18: Bush walk and Driver Back to Kampala

After breakfast, check out your room and go on a bush walk with an experienced ranger. You will notice footprints and animal droppings and the ranger will be able to tell you which animal has just past and how long ago. It is exciting to approach wildlife at such close range. Have lunch at Igongo cultural center and drive to Kampala. Your guide driver will stop you at Equator for a photo opportunity and for you to buy a souvenir. Overnight in Kampala (BB)

Day 19: Transfer to Airport and Depart
